Product roundup

Eight ReefMind updates now live

A mature display reef with varied coral colonies.

Several useful ReefMind changes landed together this week. Rather than turn each one into a thin post, this roundup keeps the details in one place.

Captain Chris writes one diagnosis a day and keeps the last good one

Captain Chris now prepares one AI Diagnosis for each eligible tank on each local day when the owner opens its dashboard. There is no button to press, and the card no longer rewrites itself every few hours.

If a refresh fails, a controller stops reporting, or the AI is briefly unavailable, the last successful diagnosis and its timestamp remain visible. A new tank still gets its first diagnosis when it has enough readings.

Livestock is live for everyone

The Livestock area is now available to every ReefMind user rather than a limited rollout. You can keep the animals in each tank organized in one place and give Captain Chris better context about the reef he is advising on.

More livestock can have photos, with a clear source choice

Invertebrate and Other entries can now carry an optional photo just like fish. Coral photo flows now show separate Take photo and Choose from photos buttons, so the camera is requested only when you choose to take a new picture.

If camera access is off, ReefMind explains how to turn it back on instead of leaving you with a button that appears to do nothing.

Your first coral photo starts the Analyzer timeline

The photo selected while adding a coral now becomes its first dated Coral Analyzer timeline entry as well as its thumbnail. The next photo can compare against that starting point without asking you to upload the first image again.

aquavitro Sentia Dose joins the Dosing Map

ReefMind can read aquavitro Sentia Dose pumps from your own account. Assign each physical head to the right tank and substance, then Captain Chris can use the configured regimen for that selected tank.

The integration is read-only. ReefMind never schedules or commands a Sentia dose, and a configured schedule is not presented as delivered history.

Order an Additional Collector from the public Collector page

If your reef needs another Collector, the public Collector page now has an order card for one to ten units. It shows the hardware subtotal, flat shipping, and pre-tax total before secure Checkout.

The order is a one-time hardware purchase. It does not change the recurring ReefMind plan.

Captain Chris moves to Gemini 3.7 for Plus and Pro

Plus and Pro Captain Chris chats, tank summaries, dosing guidance, ICP interpretation, coral photo comparisons, and the weekly email now run on Gemini 3.7. Standard chat and summaries are unchanged.

Nothing about your plan, limits, or tank data changed. The model update changes how Captain Chris reasons over the available tank context, not the amount of data included in your plan.

Name vinegar and sodium hydroxide heads accurately

Vinegar (5%) is now available as a carbon-dosing substance, and Sodium Hydroxide is available as an alkalinity substance. Existing saved supplements are unchanged.

ReefMind recognizes what those heads are configured to dose without guessing the strength of a home-mixed solution or inventing a dKH-per-mL conversion.
