Automated Testers / Lab Testers: Focustronic setup is a separate read-only path after you choose a tank. ReefMind reads each unit by its official device class — Alkatronic imports alkalinity and pH, while Mastertronic and Mastertronic Essential import NO3, PO4, calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity — so the two never cross over. OLI, NO2, NH4, Fe, and I stay raw and non-alerting until reef semantics are defined. Dosatronic/Dosetronic and other classes stay discovery-only until a read-only records endpoint is documented. ReefMind does not control Focustronic units, dosing, schedules, or the Focustronic app.
Grant ReefMind View Access
ReefMind is an AI-powered reef maintenance service. Just like you'd share access with a maintenance company or tank sitter, you'll grant ReefMind read-only access to your Apex Fusion data — so we can monitor your parameters and provide diagnostics.
🔒 Security: ReefMind uses Neptune's built-in "View" permission — the most restrictive access level. We cannot toggle outlets, change programming, or modify anything on your Apex. You can revoke access at any time from your Fusion settings.
Quick Setup (takes ~2 minutes): Choose how you'd like to add us:
Button path in Apex Fusion
⚙️ Gear 👥 Two-people icon Add User Reefmind Level: View OK
Apex Fusion screen showing the gear icon at the top-right.
Start here: tap the large gear icon at the top-right of the Apex Fusion screen, then choose the two-people/users icon inside settings.
Open the Apex Fusion app on your phone
Tap the ☰ menu (top-left)
Select your Apex device from the list
Tap the large ⚙️ gear icon in the top-right of Fusion.
Inside settings, tap the two-people / users icon to open Fusion authorizations.
Tap Add User.
Enter username: Reefmind
Tap Select level and choose View (NOT Control or Admin).
Tap OK to save ReefMind's view-only access.
Can't find Sharing? On some Apex versions, go to: Menu → Your Apex → Settings → Authorizations → Add
Go to apexfusion.com and sign in
Click on your Apex device in the dashboard
Click the ⚙️ gear icon, then the two-people / users icon for Fusion authorizations.
Click Add User.
Enter username: Reefmind
Set Select level to View
Click OK
💡 What "View" means: ReefMind can see your temperature, pH, alkalinity, and other readings — but can never toggle an outlet, change a program, or modify any setting on your Apex controller.
🔒 We never see your password. You can remove access anytime from the same Sharing screen.
Troubleshooting:
"Username not found" — Make sure you type exactly: Reefmind (capital R)
"Already shared" — Great, you've already granted access! Tap Verify Connection below.
We default to your ReefMind email because most customers use the same email for Apex Fusion. Edit it only if your Apex Fusion login is different.
Optional: Local Apex login for Collector users
If you run a ReefMind Collector on your home network, enter the local Apex web username/password here. These are not your Fusion cloud credentials. ReefMind uses them read-only so the Collector can pull LAN data when your Apex requires login.
Leave blank to add/edit later in Settings → My Tanks. Never enter your Fusion password here unless it is also your local Apex web password.
Here's what we found
ReefMind detected your equipment. Confirm everything looks correct, then customize your settings below.
