Five months in. Look what we’re building together.
ReefMind is only five months old. In that short time, an idea has grown into a community of reefers working together to change how we understand and care for our tanks.
I started ReefMind because reefers deserve more than charts, controller logs, and late-night guessing. We deserve tools that help us understand our tanks before a small problem becomes a heartbreaking one.
But this stopped being my project almost as soon as it began. Your questions became features. Your bug reports made ReefMind stronger. Your tank stories showed us what mattered. Every honest conversation moved the whole idea forward.
This is what we have made possible together in just five months.
If you saw ReefMind two months ago, you are looking at a different product today
The amount of change has been enormous. The team has worked through hundreds of improvements, fixes, and new ideas while reefers tested them on real systems and told us what still needed work. That pace came from everyone pushing in the same direction.

ReefMind now supports four major controller paths, bringing their readings and tank context into one clear experience. Each integration has its own connection method and quirks, but the goal is the same: help the reefer understand the tank instead of making them decode another controller screen.
Red Sea ReefDose, Jebao, and Neptune DOS
We have added dosing support for Red Sea ReefDose, Jebao WiFi dosers, and Neptune DOS, including DOS Quiet Drive. ReefMind can turn channel names, substances, schedules, and daily dosing totals into useful tank context. That means Captain Chris can understand more of what went into the water and connect it to what happened next.

Mastertronic test results can flow into ReefMind alongside controller readings, manual tests, and the rest of the tank history. That gives Captain Chris more complete chemistry context instead of treating each test like an isolated number. AquaWiz support is the next automated-testing connection on the way.

From pump activity to useful context
ReefMind can bring dosing history, pump mappings, reservoir estimates, and chemistry trends into the same view. The goal is not simply to show that a pump ran. It is to help you understand what was dosed, whether the pattern changed, and what it may mean for the tank.
When your tank can show ReefMind what is happening
The Collector connects ReefMind more closely to the equipment and cameras around your aquarium. It helps keep data moving, gives ReefMind more context, and makes camera-based monitoring possible.
Camera feeds have become one of the most popular Collector options because they bring visual AI into the equation. ReefMind can consider not only what the probes say, but what the reef and equipment actually look like.
See the reef, not just the numbers
A camera on the display tank can give Visual AI context the probes cannot — for example, whether the corals are extending, how healthy the tissue looks, and overall water clarity — so Captain Chris can weigh what the reef actually looks like alongside the readings.
Keep an eye on the gear below
A camera pointed at the sump can add context that readings alone miss — for example, whether the skimmer is running, how full the collection cup is getting, where the water level sits, and early signs of a leak or salt creep — so equipment problems are easier to catch early.

I may have started ReefMind, but I cannot build what reefers truly need by myself. ReefMind gets better when you tell us what is confusing, what is missing, what failed, and what helped you save a coral or finally understand your tank.
