  2. On your phone, open WiFi settings and join the open network ReefMind-Setup — there's no password.

  7. Return to the ReefMind Settings page, under My Tanks → Collector, and you'll see your active Collector.

FAQ

Collector questions

A few practical details before checkout.

Do I need to open ports on my router?
No. The Collector communicates outbound only. No port forwarding, no firewall changes.
What if my WiFi goes down?
The Collector reconnects automatically. If it cannot connect for an extended period, it returns to setup mode so you can reconnect it.
Can I use it with multiple tanks?
Yes. Pro supports up to 5 tanks, and one Collector can monitor multiple Apex units on the same local network.
Does it work with the Apex EL?
Yes. The Collector works with Neptune Apex systems that are reachable on your local network.
How does Pro billing work?
Pro is shown as $18.99/mo and billed annually at $227.88/year. The Collector is included with annual Pro, and Stripe Checkout shows the annual total before you confirm.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes. Your data stays available according to the plan you keep. Re-subscribe later and ReefMind continues from your account history.
What about my cameras?
The Collector can capture snapshots from supported IP and RTSP cameras on your network, including Tapo and Reolink cameras you add in Settings.
