💡 Easier option available: Reolink cameras work plug-and-play — just enter an IP and password. Wyze cameras require the additional steps below. If you haven't purchased a camera yet, we strongly recommend Reolink.

⚠️ Before You Start — Complete These Steps First

Step 1: Set up your camera in the Wyze app
Download the Wyze app on your phone, create an account, and add your camera. Make sure it shows a live feed in the app before continuing. Your camera must be on the same WiFi network as your ReefMind Pi.

Step 2: Disable Two-Factor Authentication
Open the Wyze app → Account → Security → Two-Factor Authentication → turn it OFF. The camera bridge cannot authenticate with 2FA enabled. You can re-enable it after setup.

Step 3: Create a Wyze Developer API Key
Go to developer-api-console.wyze.com → log in → click API Keys → click Create API Key.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: The API Key is only shown once. Copy-paste both the API ID and API Key to a safe place immediately. Do NOT screenshot them — the characters are ambiguous and OCR will fail.

Step 4: Disable auto firmware updates
In the Wyze app → Account → App Settings → turn OFF automatic firmware updates. Wyze firmware updates can break the camera bridge.

Step 5: Enter your Wyze credentials and detect cameras

Enter your Wyze account email and password below, then click 🔍 Detect Cameras. This starts the camera bridge on your Pi and searches for your cameras. Use only letters and numbers in your password — special characters can prevent authentication.
